The Philosophy

Why "Becoming" and not just "Being"?

"The self is not static — yet some things about us are stable. How do we balance what is fixed with what is always changing?"

We tell young people: just "be yourself." But who is that? If you don't know, you won't be able to simply be yourself. And if you do know but can't express it — that tension can be even more painful.

A better invitation is to become yourself — a lifelong journey through knowledge, feeling, and living. I am here as a catalyst for that process, with you.

The Process

Three Stages of Becoming

1

Knowledge

Understanding who you are — your patterns, your history, what drives you and what holds you back. This is the foundation of everything that follows.

2

Feeling

Moving from intellectual insight into emotional experience. Learning to be with what's difficult, so it no longer controls you from the shadows.

3

Living

Integrating your insights and feelings into daily action — making choices that reflect who you truly are, not who you were expected to be.

Men's Work

For the past several years I've been doing men's work — in groups, in sessions, and in my own life. A space to examine what you were taught a man should be, and whether you actually agree.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance?

Yes — I currently accept UnitedHealthcare, Oxford, Optum Health, and Oscar. If you have a different plan, reach out and I can let you know what's possible for your situation.

Do you offer telehealth?

Yes. I offer both in-person sessions in Brooklyn and secure telehealth appointments, so you can choose whatever works best for your schedule and comfort.

What happens in the free consultation?

It's a short, no-pressure conversation to see if we're a good fit. You can share what's bringing you to therapy, ask questions, and get a feel for how I work before committing to anything.

Is this a good fit if I've never done therapy before?

Yes — I work with many people for whom this is a first experience in therapy. There's no wrong way to start, and I'll help guide the process from the very first conversation.

How do I get started?

Book a free 20-minute consultation directly through my calendar, or send me an email if you'd like to ask a question first.
